don't get it?...it's that 'b' word that rhymes with frog...yeah,
that one...but that word's corny so we'll just call it The Corn...
2.24.05
Okay so I'm severely lacking right now when it comes to giving full updates
and accounts of what's been going on. I know I promised Florence, with pics, but that will have to wait until next week...for
the double feature of Florence AND Madrid (leaving in a few hours) with all the details and pics...and I promise some quality
stories and evidence...
Alright back on the plane...I feel like I was in London for 48 hours...in reality
it was like 72 but still...
Okay full updates on Tuesday...peace
2.17.05
Off to Florence tonight...at 6 in the morning...
Will definitely have all the updates of the first true excursion on Monday...
For now, enjoy the pics of our first pre-bar...or, for my parents that may be viewing this, our first weekday get-together at our place...

2.7.05
Okay so long weekend capped by Super Bowl that was sorta bland. Fun times
though. Went to Cheers where half of the students in London seemed to gather. Doors opened at 7:30 and the game, with the
time difference, started four hours later. So at 4 a.m. I felt like I had run a marathon...although I wasn't drinking gatorade.
The whole thing sponsored by Take Two, a company that does graphics for ESPN video
games and Grand Theft Auto games. PS2's set up for free use, and they even gave out a few ESPN NFL 2K5's. So at least I got
a free video game considering I spent...well a lot...that night. Check out the pictures...
Well more later this week. For now I started to update Procrastination Tools, Educational
Opportunties and the Euro-Trip page, but full descriptions should be up later this week. Laaate...
1.30.05
Damn...I've been writing '04 in every entry so far. So a month later
lets get that right. Stonehenge and Salisbury on Friday. Stonehenge=old, big rocks. Exciting just to take a few pics and leave.
Salisbury=old town with big church. Skipped the church tour, went to pub. So good trip.
Friday night went to Sound Bar...kind of lounge type place. Good times. Then was
supposed to go to Ministry of Sound for the after hours club scene at around 1:30, but they weren't letting people in (this is a place that closes at 6 a.m.)
Well apparently it was so popular because of a special guest, Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz. Who were late, but walked through
the line as we were waiting. So got to see Lil Jon but not go in. Then we got lost for a few hours and ended up about 45 minutes
outside of London. Good times.
So a couple notes on some U.S. occurances. First off, today marks the official beginning
of whether my vote for Bush in November was a good one. Eventually my first "Soapbox" entry will be about why exactly I voted
for Bush after a lot of thought and a lot of back and forth, and also why people like most of you who didn't vote for Bush
should be happy he won anyway. AAAnyway, today, Iraqis are voting in a free election. This is huge. And obviously only time will tell what this means, but if all goes well this should be the time the U.S. begins
pulling almost all of their troops out of Iraq. Which would mean Bush did not go back on his word which would validate my
vote for his reelection. So far it looks like all is going even better than expected, with upwards of 70% of the country going
to the polls. Looks like they care about their democracy even more than we do.
Leave it to John Kerry to be the buzzkill. Why is he still allowed to give quotes after one of the worst run presidential election campaigns in recent history?
Shouldn't he be running away from the spotlight at this point instead of giving little middle school-ish quotes about Iraq?
Ah well. Hope all goes well in the next week or two in Iraq, and Bush gets most of the troops home. It very well may happen
and should be applauded.
Segway...segway...uuuh speaking of middle schoolers...Michael Jackson starts his
trial this week. WISH I was in the States to watch the Fox News and MSNBC for the next month or two. This guy is such
a train wreck. In England there have been a few shows so far on the regular channels that are actually really good. Documentary-ish
stuff. One was called Michael Jackson's Boys. Traced his "boys" from the last 20 years. Amazing television. Check Smoking Gun's timeline of famous Jackson forays with little kids.
What else. Well apparently the O's have landed Sammy Sosa. I think it'll be good. Still no help with pitching, but a lineup of Brian Roberts, Mora, Tejada, Sosa, Palmeiro, Javy Lopez,
Jay Gibbons, Newhan and Matos is ridiculous.
Finally, I have one of those photo album things on webshots with all my pics. Check
it out here. Most are boring so far, but I'll post the good ones on this site.

A few quick things. Obviously been very busy with the school work and
the reading for pleasure...yeah. Lotta drinking here. Good times.
Some fact or fiction about London:
1. English people have bad teeth.
Sorta true.
Some do, some don't. Thankfully mostly its just the guys who have teeth coming out
sideways. Which leads to...
2. English women are not attractive.
Sorta true.
At least compared to the Syracuse girls. Overall, I certainly haven't met very many
cute English girls, although there were some hot norweigen girls in line at a bar we went to last week. So foreign girls are
a positive, but not so much about the London ladies.
3. The food in London isn't good.
True.
Besides this, London isn't known for anything food-wise. They've got lots of Thai food, sorta Kebab type shops and tons of packaged sandwiches
and wraps, which aren't actually too bad and are somewhat cheap. But that's it. Fish and chips, which I'm not a fan of anyway.
4. Everything is really expensive in London.
True.
I gotta get a pic of the gas station by me, with the absolutely insane prices. I'll
leave you in suspense on that. But everything basically costs in pounds the same as in dollars. Which basically means everything
is double the price as the states. Individual pizza- 4.95 pounds, or 10 bucks. Bottle of water- 90 pence, or a dollar eighty.
Ridiculous.
More to come...and "Educational Opportunities" and "Procrastination Tools" tomorrow.
1.21.04
So I've been adjusting to things here in London. We're moving into our
"flat" tomorrow (pictures underneath) and have been heading to pubs and clubs the past few nights. Classes tuesday...
Some major differences though. Anyone know what Prawn is? I had absolutely no idea
what this food was until multiple English guys started talking about how good it was...well apparently this is what it is...
Yum. So what else. Got a cell phone: it's 07854875080. So call me if you feel like
spending a dollar a minute...
One last thing...its crazy how anti-american these people are. The headlines in all
the newspapers today completely bashed Bush and the inaugeration. Then at the club I was at a two days ago some drunk guy
was bugging some girls who were blowing them off, and he goes "what are you, american?" Apparently American is synonomous
with rude...so thats good to hear.
Well enjoy some pics. After this weekend I'm sure they'll be some oh-so-exciting
stories to share...

Okay so I'm here. This little internet cafe in the middle of London.
Strange. Anyway tonight should be night #1 of going out...so we'll see how that goes.
1.17.04
Okay...headed out to London. This site is veeery very young and will be, hopefully, getting much older very quickly (sort
of the way I feel about...nevermind they'll be more time to explain...)
Anyway, I'm out of the U.S. and into the U.K.
...talk to you from the other side of the Atlantic...
